Dr. Keith Ruble

Dr. Keith Ruble has been the owner of Cascade Veterinary Clinic since 1997. He is a graduate of Washington State University and brings years of experience to the practice; he continues to pursue new information through ongoing education. Dr. Ruble started caring for animals at a young age and has worked at veterinary clinics since junior high. His enthusiasm for animals, clients and problem-solving keeps his love for the profession growing. Dr. Ruble takes pride in treating his clients and their pets as family; he goes above and beyond to deliver top-quality care to them all. Dr. Ruble’s areas of interest are mixed, from pain management of all animals to dermatology, dentistry and preventive care. Dr. Ruble enjoys the mountains of Central Idaho, fly fishing, flying, exploring new areas of Idaho and is an active University of Idaho Vandals fan.

Sherri Schruder

Sherri Schruder has been the Client Relation Specialist for Dr. Keith Ruble since 2015. She graduated from Borah High School in 1975 and has lived in Idaho all her life, except when she briefly moved to Oregon to fight fires with her brother. Sherri enjoys the mountains, fishing, and riding Harley’s. She always wanted to be in the medical field and working at Cascade Veterinary Clinic has been the opportunity of a lifetime. Sherri is responsible for all aspects of the clinic: checking in patients, scheduling appointments, helping with animals when needed, managing the online pharmacy, and so much more. It is a dream come true for Sherri to be able to work with Dr. Keith, his staff members, and all the wonderful animals and clients that come to our clinic.

Ginnie Blackner

Ginnie Blackner has been Dr. Keith Ruble’s Veterinary Assistant for 12 years. She loves her work and strives to treat her clients and patients like family. Ginnie moved to Garden Valley, ID when she was 6 years old and lived there until she moved to Cascade, ID in recent years. Ginnie enjoys spending time with her children and family members; she creates lasting memories with them through fishing, camping, and exploring the great outdoors with all of its natural wonders. Cascade Veterinary Clinic has a fantastic team that benefits greatly from Ginnie’s contributions.

Kim O’Dell

Kim O’Dell is a wonderful asset to the Cascade Veterinary Clinic. She has been the Kennel & Pharmacy Technician at CVC for 13 years, a job that keeps her very busy. She moved to Cascade, ID in 1983 to live in God’s country. Kim enjoys her small home farm with goats, sheep, dogs and cats. Tending to all animals brings her great joy.

Bonnie Cox

Bonnie Cox has lived in the Garden Valley, ID area for over 19 years. Bonnie is fond of the mountains and walks in the woods; she also greatly enjoys planting flowers, exploring the outdoors, and caring for all her animals. She started working at the Garden Valley Clinic because of her love for all animals. Bonnie is very outgoing and loves the clients and animals that come into the office. It is a pleasure to have Bonnie on our team.

Holly Schughart

A graduate of Boise State University, Holly returned to her roots and passion for helping animals when she joined the staff in Garden Valley during the spring of 2019. Having previously worked as an animal rescuer, she finds working as a receptionist to be much less stressful but still rewarding. At home, she co-parents two amazing dogs, Kozzie and Miss Mia Marie. She’s a huge plant-lover and has more plants than she can count! On her days off, Holly and her boyfriend, Jeremey, love to return to the mountains, go hiking, spend time in the outdoors and with their “kids”.

Mikaela

Mikaela is a 2019 University of Idaho graduate, with a bachelors in Animal and Veterinary Science, and is currently applying to veterinary school. She was active in Block and Bridle, Student Idaho Cattlemen’s Association, Dairy Club, and worked at Vandal Brand Meats and assisted in dairy and beef nutrition research. Dairy cattle became an interest when she moved to U of I, so she attended the United States Dairy Education and Training Consortium in New Mexico. Mikaela previously attended College of Southern Idaho and was active in Judo and worked as an Ambassador. Her earlier education included Cascade elementary and Horseshoe Bend High School. She loves working the family farm, riding horses and dirt bikes, hunting, and only catching when fishing, unless it is for sturgeon!

Miranda

Miranda grew up in San Pedro, California and moved to Idaho in 2021. She loves living in Garden Valley for the amazing community and says nothing beats being surrounded by such incredible nature and wildlife. Miranda loves her job at CVC and can’t see herself doing anything else. She’s passionate about helping animals feel better and grateful that the CVC staff is more than just a team – we’re family. When she’s not at work, Miranda enjoys spending time with her incredible daughter, Aria, often painting or listening to music, and her seven pets. Miranda has four indoor cats, two outside cats, and a Shiba puppy.
